Research Program Manager




Mission : Under the supervision of the Regional Coordinator:

·                Coordinate 2007-2008 and possibly 2009-2011 pan African ICT pedagogical integration research agenda and other research programs and projects

·                 Interface with national teams and Universities, manage and develop partnerships

·                Prepare and participate in research methods training workshops

·                Elaborate communication and partnership strategy to  ensure wide participation and stimulate public and policy dialogue

·                Edit a bilingual publication to share results regularly.

Profile required: Preferably MA or PhD in social science discipline with a minimum of 7 years research and publishing experience mainly in relation to education and/or ICTs in Africa. Training and teaching skills and multi-country team leadership and administrative experience required. Sense of creativity and intercultural communication highly developed. Fluent in English, French and several African languages. A sample of scientific writing (max 15 pages) and a sample of administrative writing (max 5 pages) are required.  Employer will assist with interview costs for retained candidates on the continent and, eventually, relocation expenses.

Finance Officer

Mission : Under supervision of the Regional Coordinator:

·                Ensure transparent and efficient planning and management of funds

·                Oversee monthly and annual reporting within the network and to partners, and help mobilize resources necessary to run the organization

·                Prepare program budgets and technical reports

·                Ensure receipt from partner universities in Africa and the organization’s 14 member countries of activity and financial reports within deadlines

·                Collaborate with national coordinators to improve management systems

·                Keep the organization Guide to Network Management up to date and ensure that the tools are available on the network Intranet.

Profile required: Having a minimum 5 years experience in financial management in private or public sector, the candidate shall be familiar with SYSCOA accounting. Analytical and methodical, she or he shall be rigorous and honest. International and intercultural experience required. Sense of communication and leadership developed. Fluency in English, French, and several African languages. Candidates residing in Mali will be considered.

Webmanager Research Assistant


Mission : Under the supervision of the Research Program Manager:

·                Interface with national researchers regarding upload of data for observatory on ICT pedagogical integration

·                Use ICTs to develop tools to support evolution of community of practice

·                Develop and administer project databases

·                Promote observatory online and via regional and international meetings

·                Use ICTs to enhance training, research and online publication.

Profile required: Having graduated from university, you have at least 5 years experience with Web development and project management. Sense of innovation and communication and strong conceptual and writing skills developed. Dynamic initiative taker. Fluent in English and French and African languages. A list of ICT productions/projects is required with candidature. Candidates residing in Mali will be considered.
